Winter devlog


Hi,  it's me again.

In the place where I live we have some time to relax, you know, vacations!!!

I'm writting this if anyone is interested on how is the project going or how it was made.

Progress

I've got a Game Design Document (GDD) to make easier the development of the game,  it's not completed but I think that for now it's fine for start making the pixel art, music and some of the scenes. Talking about that, the pixel art is kinda hard for me, I'd call myself an "abstract artist" although there is no difference between my drawings and a dog's ones.

I've been thinking about "releasing" the main mechanics of the game before starting the programming phase, to see what do you think about them, by the time I'm writing this, there are three "main mechanics" and another one that I'm thinking to put in the game, one is the real time combat, and the other two are about jumping more than about fighting.

The story is pretty simple, I'm not going to lie, it's like this because I'm a beginner, I want this to be like a "training" for me more than an actual serious project, it's like an experiment.

Honestly I was going to show you some sprites or music, but because I don't want to spoil anything exept the first scene (which will be nothing but some trees, water and 4 characters including the protagonist)  and I've been working only in the fighting sprites, I will not be showing you anything (unless it takes a long time to make the game).
